Clean cooking matters.
Less smoke. Greater autonomy.
TOUAWEN is developing an alternative to cooking with wood, charcoal and gas in areas where these fuels are difficult or costly to access.

No wood or charcoal while cooking

- Household autonomy and resilience
- Less smoke at point of use
- Potential humanitarian applications
Less smoke, less fuel logistics
For many households, cooking begins with collecting fuel, carrying heavy loads and exposure to smoke. TOUAWEN aims to reduce these constraints through electric cooking powered by stored photovoltaic energy.
Households
Greater autonomy where access to energy is absent or unstable.
Humanitarian programmes
Explore a reduced dependence on recurring fuel deliveries.
Schools and health centres
Assess real needs, energy availability and maintenance before pilot deployment.
Expected benefits must be measured in field pilots; they are not quantified or guaranteed here.
